Who We Are
Linear Web Solutions is a web design and local SEO business based in Roseburg, Oregon. This policy covers our website, linearwebsolutions.com, and our client dashboard at dashboard.linearwebsolutions.com (the "Dashboard"), including the Linear Web Solutions app that connects to Facebook through Meta's APIs.
Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@linearwebsolutions.com.
Information We Collect
Information you send us. When you use our contact form or business survey, we collect what you enter, which may include:
- Your name, business name, email address, and phone number
- The service you are interested in, your message, and your current website
- Survey answers such as business type, whether you have a website, budget range, and goals
- How you found us: referral source, campaign (UTM) tags, and the page you arrived on
If you use our free website tools, we process the website address or keywords you enter to produce your results. We do not save those results to a customer record.
Technical information. When you submit a form or use a tool, your IP address is used to limit abuse and to check the submission with Cloudflare Turnstile. Our servers may also keep standard request logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, and time) for security and troubleshooting. With your consent, Google Analytics collects pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location.
Dashboard accounts. For people with Dashboard access we store an email address, a password (stored only as a one-way hash), and account role. We also record sign-in and account activity, including IP address, browser and device type, and time, to keep accounts secure.
Connected accounts and content. If you connect a Facebook Page, YouTube channel, or Google Business Profile to the Dashboard, we receive the data described in the next two sections. We also store the content prepared for publishing, such as captions, hashtags, images, videos, Reels, and schedule times, along with the publishing status and post IDs and links each platform returns.
Facebook and Instagram Platform Data
The Dashboard uses Facebook Login and Meta's Graph API so we can publish content to Facebook Pages for our clients. Connecting is optional. It happens only when someone who manages a Page logs in with Facebook and approves these permissions:
- pages_show_list: to list the Facebook Pages you manage so you can choose which to connect
- pages_read_engagement: to read basic Page details (name, category, description, follower count, and linked Instagram account)
- pages_manage_posts: to publish the posts, photos, and Reels you create or approve in the Dashboard
What we store. For each connected Page:
- Page ID, name, category, description ("about"), and follower count
- The ID of any Instagram professional account linked to the Page
- A Page access token, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
- For each item we publish: the Facebook post or video ID, its link, its processing and publishing status, and Meta's response to the request, kept for troubleshooting
During login Meta also gives us a temporary user access token. We use it only to get the Page access tokens and do not store it. We do not request or store your Facebook user ID, personal profile, email address, friends, messages, or comments and posts written by other people.
Instagram: we store only the ID of the Instagram account linked to your Page. The Dashboard does not currently publish to or read content from Instagram.
How we use it. Page access tokens are used only to make the Meta API calls you have authorized: listing your Pages, publishing or scheduling posts, photos, and Reels, and checking whether they published. Page details are used only to show which Pages are connected.
Who can access it. Linear Web Solutions staff and Dashboard users in your organization. Access tokens are never sent to the browser or shown on screen.
Sharing. We do not sell Meta Platform data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, use it for advertising or profiling, or send it to AI services. It is stored on the servers that host the Dashboard. Content you publish becomes public on Facebook under Meta's own terms and policies.
How long we keep it. Only while the Page stays connected. Disconnecting a Page in the Dashboard deletes its stored details, its access token, and our records of its posts and Reels.
Revoking access and deletion. You can remove our access at any time in Facebook under Settings & privacy > Settings > Business integrations. That stops future access but does not delete what we already stored. To delete it, disconnect the Page in the Dashboard or follow the steps on our Data Deletion page.
YouTube and Google Data
Clients may also connect a YouTube channel or Google Business Profile. We request permission to upload videos and read basic channel details (YouTube), and to manage Business Profile posts (Google Business Profile).
We store the YouTube channel ID, title, and thumbnail, or the Business Profile location name and address, along with encrypted access and refresh tokens. We use them only to publish videos and posts you approve and to show which accounts are connected.
YouTube features use YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Removing a Business Profile location in the Dashboard deletes its stored tokens. Stored YouTube tokens are deleted on request.
How We Use Information
- Respond to inquiries and prepare project recommendations and quotes
- Provide web design, SEO, and social media services we have agreed to
- Sign people in to the Dashboard and keep accounts secure
- Connect the Facebook Pages, YouTube channels, and Business Profiles you authorize
- Create, schedule, and publish posts, photos, videos, and Reels you approve
- Check whether published content went live and show its status
- Prevent spam and abuse, troubleshoot problems, and keep activity logs
- Understand, with your consent, how visitors use our website
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our agreements.
- Facebook Page data and tokens are kept only while the Page is connected. Disconnecting deletes them right away.
- Revoking access in Facebook or Google stops future access. Data already stored stays until you disconnect in the Dashboard or ask us to delete it.
- Images and videos prepared for publishing are kept until they are deleted or you ask us to delete them.
- After a verified deletion request, we delete or anonymize the data covered by the request.
- Deleted information may remain in server logs or backups, where they exist, for a limited time before it is overwritten.
Your Choices and Deleting Your Data
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may request deletion of personal information and Meta Platform data associated with your account by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page, or by emailing contact@linearwebsolutions.com.
Data Security
We use HTTPS, encrypt stored access tokens, store passwords only as one-way hashes, and limit Dashboard access to authorized users. No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Please do not send passwords, access tokens, or payment card details through our forms or by email.
Children
Our website and Dashboard are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
